With its expanse of perfectly mowed lawn, attractive seasonal borders and majestic purple beech tree, Latham Lawn is a stunning outdoor space for barbeques, garden parties and drinks receptions in the summer months. Latham Lawn also provides a classic setting for traditional English afternoon tea and garden parties.
Author Henry James (1843-1916) wrote, “If I were called upon to mention the prettiest corner of the world, I should draw a thoughtful sigh and point the way to the gardens of Trinity Hall.”
Accommodating up to 150 guests for drinks parties and marquee events, Latham Lawn leads down to the River Terrace where you can enjoy stunning views over the historic River Cam.
Private punting parties along the Backs of the Colleges can also be arranged for your guests from Trinity Hall’s private mooring.
- Latham Lawn is named after Henry Latham, Master of Trinity Hall from 1888-1902 and benefactor to the College.
